Tickets
People rush out classroom at the ringing of the bell, to crowd around ticket stations. The lines are long, and most people are unaware that the line in the middle of the horseshoe is actually the shortest. Some people receive their tickets during class due to preordering, and they walk around with their envelopes during lunch. They line up again near the end of lunch to refund unused tickets.
I love the imagery and sound that you portray in your story. I was able to envision the event taking place and the process that occurs when purchasing food for Multicultural week. :)
