Composition Review - 3 rules

I chose photo4 because the mist and the gates create the illusion of depth in this photo. The tombstones and the posts in the graveyard frame the people in the back. The people form a nearly straight line. While the people are almost in the center, they look down towards the side a bit, making the focus off-center.

My three rules:
1) Depth,
2) Avoid center/Rule of Thirds,
3) Use geometric shapes/lines to get viewer's attention at topic

After cropping:

I cropped it so that the focus (the orb) is about 1/3 to the right and bottom. I used curve of the statue's silhouette as my geometric shape that frames the orb. Lastly, I cropped it to "zoom" in so that the shallow depth of field would be more apparent.
